Oxatomide description:
Oxatomide is a first-generation antihistamine of the diphenylmethylpiperazine (benzhydrylpiperazine) class. It was discovered at Janssen Pharmaceutica in 1975. Oxatomide lacks any anticholinergic effects. In addition to its H1 receptor antagonism, it also possesses antiserotonergic actions.

Orally active anti-allergic agent; related structurally to cinnarizine and having a novel biphasic mode of action; Inhibits the release and actions of leukotrienes.
